OnlineAudioStories.com was founded in 2009 by Abbey Rice and Dalibor Kozak.

How many of our children venture tentatively to the end of the garden in search of the ephemeral? Why is a four year old's vocabulary limited to 'Eh Oh!'. Why do we all too quickly depend on a box sitting in our lounge to impart an understanding of life beyond our own, or lives unlike our own. Why, when born with the most amazing entertainment centre of sensory, intellectual, cultural, life-enhancing pleasure of all, do we insist on others creating the images, characters and worlds for us.

Imagination is a most incredible gift and tapping into it early can provide meaning to experience and understanding to knowledge. A key to the learning process, it is the way people make sense of our world. A vivid imagination helps your children to problem solve by thinking through situations or new circumstances. It allows them to practice real-life skills and can help them grow up to be creative thinkers.

Listening to stories is a wonderful way of introducing our children to their own imagination, unlocking the worlds of their own creation, and a wealth of potential.

Our mission is to awaken the creative minds of our listeners and in so doing, to revive the fairy tales, classics and poetry of old, reintroducing the oral tradition of storytelling to the world.

Abbey Rice:

Director of Content: Abbey Rice is the voice of onlineaudiostories.com. and loves storytelling. She sources the stories, records them and edits them ready to upload. Her style is very engaging, exciting and comforting; you can hear her smiling as she reads.

Since graduating from Birmingham School of Acting in 2004, she has moved to London and spent the majority of her time working with children of all ages and with a range of abilities.

She easily combines and imparts what she has learned into her telling of these magical tales.

Dalibor Kozak:

Webmaster and Designer: Dalibor is all things technical for onlineaudiostories.com. He built the website and created all workings behind its functionality.

A whizz on the computer, Dalibor spends most of his time fixing and improving other people's systems, but loves nothing more than to return to his own, making improvements to the site every day.

 

As you may have guessed, Abbey and Dalibor are also the creators of Tales of Time - a website offering superior quality audio stories for kids, presented on a child-safe site. These stories are immersed in sound-effects and music, enriching the story and delivering a whole world of audio pleasure.
